The contact address is also the username for your Customer account. After you update to your current email address, don’t forget to use the new email address next time you log in to your customer account after you have made the update.

Your password remains the same as before. If you have forgotten your password, please reset it using your new email address before you attempt to login.

If you want to renew your subscription for a longer period at once you need to
– contact us via phone, email or open support ticket and indicate the domain name and the renewal period you want to pay for.
– After receiving your request, we will change subscription period to requested and generate renewal invoice for requested period.
– You will be notified about generated invoice by email.
– After paying the invoice, your subscription will be renewed for requested period of time.

If Premium domain payment period was monthly or quarterly it will be automatically converted to yearly. Due date of a domain, in that case, is moved ahead to match domain’s expiry date.

Domain is already connected with service

There are several options in this case and the best one depends on several factors. Bellow is simple guidance based on a few key circumstances:

• There is only one domain on my account
  The best option here is to Upgrade your existing service with the lowest matching current package.
• There are several domains on my account
  The best option here is to Upgrade existing service to a lowest matching Multidomain service and reconnect all other domains to it.
• There is already Multidomain service on my account
  Unless you want explicitly two different multidomain services the best option here is to Reconnect domain with existing Multidomain service.

My domain is not connected with any service

In this case, check how to connect your domain with service. Make sure you don’t connect domain with Domain Account because this will not transform domain into Cheap.

Note: Keep in mind that it can take up to 24 hours before domain price is changed after connecting it to service with a package from our current offers.

Once you have the code you can go to Domain Transfer page. Fill your domain name, select a domain extension from the list and enter the AUTH/EPP code.

Click on Transfer button and finish your order.

NOTE: Please make sure that we support your domain extension (TLD). You can find a full list on Domain Transfer page.

Such action will produce a certain downtime on deployed services related to that domain such as DNS, mail or your website due to the migration of data. The amount of downtime will be discussed further next to each transfer option. Therefore it is important to always check if Upgrade of existing service is a better option over reconnecting because it doesn’t incur any downtime.

However in many circumstances, reconnecting is a preferable option, mostly when taking economic advantage of Multidomain services.

2. Check what service domain is connected to and what is the existing role of the domain in that service.

Based on that the following options are available:

Reconnecting domain connected to Domain Account

Domain Account is dealing with DNS and mail/web redirection.

Since data set related to those services is easy to migrate, this scenario is solely customer’s responsibility. Bellow is an explanation how to complete the task.

Reconnecting domain in other cases

This is a more complex scenario where other services such as e-mail and/or web are also a subject of migration. In this case, Svenska Domäner is responsible for migration of data.

Before contacting support it is always good to check if target Multidomain service supports all services (DNS, e-mail, and/or web) employed on the existing service domain is connected to. If not, an Upgrade of existing Multidomain service must take place otherwise, this Multidomain service cannot be used as a target for reconnection.

Customer is encouraged to contact support and provide information:

1. what domain(s) should be reconnected,
2. what are the target service(s) they should be connected to,
3. what are domains roles in those services. If current service domain is connected to doesn’t utilize web page for given domain, then target domain role can be Parked otherwise, it must be Addon.

Svenska Domäner will contact back if additional information is needed and also to notify time frame when the operation will take place. In this case, downtime can be up to one hour, depending on the amount of data.

Parked domains can be associated with their own DNS and e-mail services and cannot have a unique website. Instead, it can only act as an alias to the website hosted on the primary domain on that hosting account, like the main website alias.

They are used for:

• DNS service for any domain;
• Mail service for any domain;
• reserving the domain name for future development;
• to have more than one domain that would lead to your primary domain;
• to protect against common misspellings of your domain name that you have registered.

Additional domains (Websites)

In addition to all features contained in a Parked domain, Additional domain points to its own folder within public_html and appears as a separate/different website from the site hosted on your primary domain, like additional primary domain. In order to have an alias to an Additional domain, you cannot use Parked domain but you have to use another Additional domain with special setup (see instructions below). This allows you to have separate websites on your account (check your web package for the number of additional domains that you can host).

It is used for:

• all the reasons stated above for Parked domain;
• creating website with unique content.

1. Login to your Svenska Domäner account.
2. From the left side select “My domains”
3. List of domains is presented.
   If list of your domains is huge (> 10) then in order to find domain
   • enter domain name in the filter box above the list and press filter button in order to constrain the list to desired domain name or
   • use page links at the bottom of the list to go to the next 10 results
   • If you still cannot find your domain then domain might have been cancelled (expired or transferred away) and default state filter is filtering out such domains. In order to view those domains, you have to select canceled state in the state filter from the top right corner of the list.
4. Once you have identified desired domain in the list press “View” button in the right most column for that domain row.
